- The short is a parody of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
- Throughout the short, the song "The Avengers" by Alan Silvestri, from the film The Avengers, plays.
- In Asgard, the characters Heimdall, Sif, Fandral, Thor and Odin are seen.
- When Lisa is sent to Asgard, Fenris Wolf is seen. Lisa then wields Mjolnir, Thor's hammer.
- The Springfield Avengers are a parody of The Avengers.
- Lisa is a parody of Thor.
- Maggie is a parody of Disney's Tinker Bell.
- Ned Flanders is a parody of Ant-Man.
- Ralph Wiggum is a parody of the Hulk.

- There are a couple of differences between the character designs on the poster and in the short:
- Helen Lovejoy has blonde hair on the poster, but her usual grey hair in the short.
- Agnes Skinner has red hair on the poster, but her usual grey hair in the short.
- This is the first special Disney+ episode to begin with an epilepsy warning have been broadcasted with Season 35 ownards both the main series Simpsons episodes and second short The Most Wonderful Time of the Year.
- This is the first Simpsons special episode dubbed in South Korea, along with Plusaversary and Welcome to the Club however the main series has never dubbed this episode on Disney+ and South Korean channel stations.
