The Simpsons Road Rage has 16 characters that can drive 18 vehicles, and four vehicles with a holiday theme. Five of the cars are available from the start, and 12 of them the player must earn by driving. The player can choose to unlock a vehicle or a location when they have earned $1000, $10K, $30K, $50K, $75K, $100K, $125K, $150K, $200K, $250K, $300 and then every $1000K to $1,000,000. There is no particular order that the unlockable characters must be chosen. One of Homer's cars can only be unlocked by completing all ten missions.
You can also play as Smithers in Mr. Burns' limo, the Nuclear Bus, and a red brick with four simple circular wheels, with different colors. These can only be played with the use of in-game cheat codes
