Maggie Simpson's Counting Book is a book with illustrations of different objects and members of the Simpson family to represent numbers, from one cat to millions of stars.

Plot[edit]

Maggie is sitting with one cat (Snowball II) and watching Krusty before Santa's Little Helper comes (making two pets). In the next scene Marge is holding three bags, and Maggie is in one of the bags. Maggie is thinking about which of her four bows she should wear today. After that, Maggie is visited by four friends, making five children. When the friends go home, Maggie flies in the living room, because she is holding six balloons. Maggie opens the toy box and sees seven pacifiers, one for each of the seven days of the week. Maggie takes a look at the shoe closet and sees that everyone in the family has a pair, making eight, since Maggie's too young to wear shoes. Maggie feeds the cat, but eight other cats come to get some food too, making a total of nine cats.

In the next scene, Bart takes his nine friends home (totaling ten children) after they play in the yard. Then Maggie goes out and picks eleven tulips. After that, Marge makes 12 cupcakes. Lisa draws in her coloring book using 13 crayons, while Maggie draws on the wall. Afterwards, Lisa and Maggie read 14 books while Bart watches Krusty with the dog. Then it's time to eat, and Marge has made fifteen pancakes for everyone to eat. Then, Bart plays with 16 toy cars while Maggie looks on. In the next scene Maggie eats 17 peas, and the dog eats a few peas after she drops them onto the floor. Then Maggie builds a tower using 18 blocks. In the next scene, Bart is chased by nineteen bees. Then Maggie throws a ball to the dog 20 times. In the next scene, Bart and Lisa have a snowball fight and Maggie seems to help them both. In the next scene, the family goes on a picnic, but 1000 ants seem to be interested in the food they have. In the final scene of the book, the family camps out and Maggie is looking at the millions of stars in the sky while Lisa and Bart are in the tent.
