Object Information
|
A Krusty Doll is a popular toy with Krusty the Clown's likeliness. Bart Simpson owns one. Some feature a pull-string on the back of the doll that, when pulled, cause the doll to say a phrase (usually about buying more Krusty Brand merchandise). On a number of occasions, the doll has been seen as somewhat sentient and self-aware, responding to what is happening (such as moaning when hurt or thrown). There are several variants of the doll that have different features and abilities.
Variants[edit]
The Krusty Doll has several different variants featuring a variety of functions and outfits.
Catch-A-Rising Krusty Doll[edit]
A Krusty Doll that performs stand-up comedy. This is seen as being Bart's favorite possession in "Homerazzi". The doll can walk and move around, as well as speak. On the backside, there is a selector switch that can be set to four different positions: Off, Mother-in-law, Stolen Jokes, and Current Events.
This doll was seen as possibly being sentient, as when Bart picked it up and put it in the fireproof safe, the doll said "No! Wait, don't!.." indicating a possibility of self-awareness.
The doll later caught fire and melted after walking into the toy car, turning the lights on and causing a bottle of cologne to boil and explode.
Quotes[edit]
"Where do the kids today get these band names? The Kinks, The Stones... Sounds like my last physical!"
"You see all those crazy new electronics? Ipod, ITunes, I-give-up! [Laughs]"
"What's the deal with this California pizza? If I wanted cheese an-..[audio dies as the doll melts]"
