"Three Dreams Denied" is the seventh episode of season 32 of The Simpsons and the six-hundred and ninety-first episode overall. It originally aired on November 22, 2020. The story was written by Danielle Weisberg and directed by Steven Dean Moore. It guest stars Ben Platt as Blake and Paul Rudd as himself.
Synopsis
- "Bart becomes a voiceover actor and Comic Book Guy is humiliated at Comic-Con. Meanwhile, Lisa is set up for a fall."
Plot
At his shop, Comic Book Guy is searching for a way to buy the tickets to the San Diego's Comicalooza, when Agnes comes with a cart full of Skinner's toys, including a high priced Radioactive Man toy, which he sells for $3.400 on MeBay. The next day Skinner comes to reclaim it back but it was too late.
Meanwhile at Springfield Elementary, Lisa meets a new kid, Blake, who also plays the saxophone. Dewey Largo announces that the session is going to decide if Lisa keeps or loses her role in the band. At the store, Bart meets a voice over artist, Phil, and admits he does them too, and stays at the shop for long.

It was previously known as The Voice Actor's Apprentice. It was previously scheduled for 2021.[1][2]
In the interview to TV Insider showrunner Al Jean said: "Ben Platt plays a sneaky untalented kid who succeeds when he doesn't deserve to, so, not himself,". Blake, who casts a spell over Lisa. The fellow musician will have her crushing hard, but there's more to Blake than meets the eye.[3]
