Cultural references

• The episode title is probably a reference to the Sherlock Holmes novel and film The Seven-Per-Cent Solution, as well as a reference the standard agent commission of 10%.
• Krusty states that the references in the Itchy & Scratchy cartoons are over a year old because the cartoons take a year to animate so they seem outdated. The references are:
  • The Cat's Speech - The King's Speech
  • The Social Petwork - The Social Network
  • Black & Blue Swan - Black Swan
• During The Cat's Speech, when Adolf Hitler is shown driving a swastika'd steam roller over a prostrate Scratchy, Maggie raises her arm in the Nazi salute. Maggie's arm is lowered by Lisa, with a nervous laugh.

• Princess Kashmir has black skin and brown hair in one scene.
• In one scene where Bart has his legs crossed and is sitting on the floor at the Simpsons' house, his shoes are missing (as in not been added to the frame).
