Baseball is popular sport played and watched in Springfield. Springfield has a minor league baseball team named the Isotopes. Bart is a player on the little league team the Isotots.

Scratchy and his son were once playing catch with a baseball in a wheat field.[1]

The Springfield Nuclear Power Plant had a softball team, which Mr. Burns received help from some professional baseball players to win a game against Shelbyville.[2]

After the Simpson family watched a baseball game with the Springfield Isotopes, Homer became their new mascot.[3]

Milhouse once said that he wanted to become a baseball player when he was older.[4]

A magazine called Baseball, about baseball, was seen.[5]
