Cultural references
- The episode name is a reference to the novel The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins and the movie of the same name based on the book.
- Marvel's Thanos shows up on the couch gag with his Infinity Gauntlet and proceeds to vaporize the Simpson family except for Maggie.
- The three belts are reference to:
- WLBA: the World Boxing Association (WBA).
