Maggie Simpson's Alphabet Book is a book with illustrations of different objects and members of the Simpson family to represent the letters of the alphabet.

Plot

Maggie plays with her stuffed animals and the family pets. Maggie then goes out to play with her brother. Then it's time to eat cupcakes, but there is only one left and everyone in the family wants it. After they fight over the cupcakes, Maggie falls asleep and dreams of bathing in pacifiers while the cat dreams of bathing in bottles of cat food. Maggie is out with the dog, who saves her from the edge of a mountain. Back home, Maggie looks at pictures of the family before Grampa begins to read Maggie Simpson's Alphabet Book for her, but he falls asleep so Maggie must read the book herself. Marge is fixing her hairdo and Maggie helps out, then the women in Maggie's family wear identical clothes.

In the next scene, Marge is mad at Maggie for putting jam on the table. Next Homer is mad because Maggie is locked in the car with the keys. After Maggie has left the car, she is in the crib but she feels lonely, so she is picked up by Marge and Homer, who dance the mambo in the living room. Homer takes a nap on the couch after the dance, and Maggie sleeps on his stomach. It's time for Maggie to eat oatmeal, but instead of eating it, she gives it to the dog. Maggie begins to paint and draw two pacifiers. Maggie then feeds bread to the ducks, which quack.

Maggie goes to play in the rumpus room with her siblings before her sister takes and plays her saxophone. Maggie does not like it so she covers her ears. The family then watches television, except Maggie, who would rather look at her alphabet book. In the next scene, Maggie tries to save the cat, which has climbed up into the tree, and the family is afraid she will fall. Bart has to use the vacuum cleaner and Maggie becomes wet when Marge bathes her. When the children have their checkups, Bart gets an x-ray. Maggie has returned home, where Patty is knitting while Maggie and Snowball play with her yarn. In the last scene, the family is at the zoo where they see the bears eating fish.
