A title card is a piece of printed text edited into photographed action at various points in films, often at the beginning of television shows to show the title of the episode. Most canon episodes of "The Simpsons" have no on-screen title. Several episodes have title cards that are not the official title of the episode, such as the series premiere "Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire", titled on-screen as "The Simpsons Christmas Special". Halloween episodes are officially titled "Treehouse of Horror" but until season 14's "Treehouse of Horror XIII" the on-screen title was "The Simpsons Halloween Special". The only canon episodes with on-screen titles are "The Telltale Head", "Bart Gets Hit by a Car", "22 Short Films About Springfield", "The Book Job", "Homerland", "Barthood" and "The Great Phatsby: Part One".
