Synopsis
- "Bart can't control his feelings when he gets a new teacher. Meanwhile, Lisa befriends an octopus."
Plot
Lisa is recording a documentary, The Cephalopod Soulmate: After getting a C in 2nd grade, Lisa joined the Future Nature Documentarian Day Camp, going underwater and becoming friends with Molly, an octopus. Her recording is interrupted by Marge when she notices a shark trying to reach Molly and when she snaps a picture of her and Molly together. At school, Skinner and Chalmers welcome a new teacher, Rayshelle Peyton, who transfered to town with her husband, and they hire her as the new teacher for Bart's class. However, when Bart meets her, he has a flashback and starts acting weird, running away from her.
At the Aztec Theater, the Future Nature Documentarians Film Festival is playing, showing Lisa's documentary, where the shark eventually catches Molly in her mouth, and everyone cheers at the end for her job. Back at home, however Lisa brings the trophy to her room after showing the sadness in front of Homer and Marge, revealing she saved Molly from the shark. At school, Ms. Peyton prepares herself to enter the class for the first time.
