Synopsis[edit]

"When Ned suffers an accident at a play, he reveals that he and Edna are married. At the hospital, half the town intrudes on Ned's room, and Edna tells everyone to clear out. They soon realize that having an open marriage is tricky, and they have to deal with the ups and downs. Meanwhile, Edna pulls Rod and Todd out of Christian school and into Springfield Elementary.[1]"


Plot[edit]

Springfield Playhouse puts up a play of Jesus. Ned Flanders hopes to get the role of Jesus, but it goes to Homer instead. During the premiere, Ned gets a concussion when Jesus' cross falls on him. When Ned is being taken to the ambulance, Ned reveals that Edna is his wife.

Marge and Homer visit Ned and Edna at the hospital, and find out that they wanted to keep the marriage secret because everyone would have made a big deal about it, the hospital room is soon visited by the inhabitants of Springfield who congratulate the new couple, but Ned and Edna throw them all out, even Homer and Marge.
