The Simpsons get more than they bargained for when they replace their old couch.The new Couch is covered in bed bugs. When [[Bart Simpson|Bart]] has a sleepover, all his friends spread it them around [[Springfield]]. Meanwhile, The most likable minister in the world puts [[Rev. Lovejoy]]'s life in a crisis. The town is infested with bedbugs, and Lovejoy can’t cope, as he's so boring, nobody will listen to him during the panic. So a new minister is brought in (similar to [[Bing Crosby]] in the ''{{w|Going My Way}}'') to try to calm the people down. Lovejoy discovers a new profession, realizing that he's actually really good at selling hot tubs and he doesn't want to quit that. Synopsis

The Simpsons get more than they bargained for when they replace their old couch - bed bugs! The bugs spread, and so does the terror, to the extent Reverend Lovejoy can't cope. The Parson arrives and introduces a new minister, Reverend Elijah Hooper; soon, Lovejoy finds the town prefer the new minister over him, with the exception of Ned Flanders - and Bart? Meanwhile, Marge chases her wedding dress down after the dry cleaners mistakenly swapped it with one of Krusty's costumes.
