Maggie Simpson's Book of Animals is a book where the littlest Simpson takes a trip to the zoo and discovers a friendly spider, a dancing chicken, and a shark swimming in a tank, in a humorous introduction to the animal world.
Plot
The Simpsons are of on a trip to Springfield Zoo. Marge makes sandwiches before they leave. On the way to the zoo, they meet rabbits and opossums outside, they see peacocks and swans, and one swan starts to chase Bart. Inside the zoo, the Simpsons are watching the baboons and monkeys before it's time to ride the animals. Marge and Maggie ride on a camel, Lisa a pony and Bart an elephant. Then they go to the petting section where they snuggle with pigs, goats and sheep. One goat tries to eat Homer's popcorn. Maggie has fallen asleep by the time the family looks at the lions, which are also sleep. A moment later, the family is in the aquarium where they see sharks and eels. The family continue to look at the animals before it's time to go home. After coming home, they discover ducks asleep in the family pool.
