- Mr. Burns moves with the style of the Pink Panther when he is about to enter the Complex Medical Care. The background music is similar to the music from the cartoon.
- Burns reads Men's Health and other magazines parody of it.
- The people attending Dr. Nussbaum's funeral threw visitation stones at Mr. Burns. In Judaism, these stones are left on graves in an act of remembrance or respect for the deceased.
- Professor Frink used his VR headset "Oculus Frink" that placed him in the "116th Nobel Prize" awards:
- The Oculus Frink is a parody of the Oculus Rift.
- The March No. 1 from the Pomp and Circumstance Marches can be heard.
- Queen Sonja of Norway presents the awards to him.
- Frink mentions HBO and the Higgs boson observatory.
- At the "Nobel Afterpary", an ice sculpture in the shape of Alfred Nobel is filled with Absolut Vodka. Both are Swedish.
