3G is the eighth production season of The Simpsons. Al Jean and Mike Reiss served as the showrunners for the season. This production season is the shortest, with only four episodes. Two of the episodes aired in broadcast season 8 while two aired in broadcast season 9. The episodes aired from January 12, 1997 with "The Springfield Files", to March 29, 1998 with "Simpson Tide".
