  • The episode is the first official crossover between The Simpsons and Family Guy.
  • The name of the episode is a mixture between the two shows, with "The Simpsons" being taken from The Simpsons and "Guy" being taken from Family Guy and added to the end.
  • "Pour Some Sugar On Me" by Def Leppard plays during Peter and Homer's stolen car wash scene.
  • The A113 police car license plate is an old animation in-joke used in animated movies and TV Shows.
  • Fred Flintstone's favorite beer is Budrock, a parody of Budweiser and the naming things with variations of stone and rocks in The Flintstones.
  • Chris' "Alright, alright, alright" is a reference to Matthew McConaughey, with Chris impersonating him.
