Cultural references[edit]

Trivia[edit]

  • Dr. Hibbert said both of Grampa's kidneys were fine the day before the "blowout", but in "Old Money", Grampa tells Bea Simmons that he has only one working kidney.
  • Homer didn't pay for his sailor outfit when he was "fleeing in shame".
  • When the Simpsons leave Bloodbath Gulch, a blue Canyonero drives past.

Goofs[edit]

  • The "Honeybunch" insignia wasn't on Captain McAllister's ship until Homer mentioned it and it wasn't seen when Homer was thrown off the ship.
  • It is impossible to explode your kidney from "holding it in" too long, because it is the bladder that holds the urine.
  • The tracks in the concrete appear before the railcar wheels rolled over it.
  • When Homer was parallel parking the railcar, he looked awfully out of proportion to the cars on either side of him. If you look closely you'll see that he barely comes up to the height of the trunk on the closest car.
  • When the Simpsons are in the car, at one point Homer's head is misplaced slightly so that there appears to be a piece of shirt under the collar where his head is meant to be.
  • As Dr. Hibbert laughs after Homer exits the hospital, the bottom of the knot on the back of his hat repeatedly disappears, so that there is a noticeable space between the bottom of the knot and Hibbert's shirt (even though the former is supposed to behind the latter).
  • The dialogue during the gunfight was not put into closed captioning.
