• In the episode's couch gag, the members of the family are popular trophies:
  • Homer is the Oscar statuette from the Academy Awards.

• In one scene, L.T. Smash had brown hair instead of blond. Immediately after, when Gary Chalmers is looking through the rifle scope, Smash has blond hair again.
• When Bart and Milhouse were seen playing Satan's Path, Bart's shoes are completely blue, like in Season 1 episodes.
