When the Simpsons's neighbor Mrs. Winfield tells Homer she and her husband have decided to move, Homer responds, "Gonna run out the clock in Florida".^[1]

Lisa dresses up as Florida for the school's geography pageant.^[2]

Homer and Barney trained to become astronauts at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida.^[3]
