Synopsis[edit]
- "Lisa and Homer's bond gets stronger when they start spending real quality time together, and Bart feels neglected. So Marge tries to help Homer balance his attention between the kids."
Plot[edit]
At the Second grade play at the school, Ralph is playing as broccoli, and fails to remember his colour being green and says purple, so Llewellyn Sinclair passes up to Nelson's origin of veal, with him shooting a cow in the head with a captive-bolt gun and Lisa barging in (dressed as pork chop) protesting about the scene. Chalmers proclaims show is over and Sinclair removes the props, getting his hand burnt.
Outside, Lisa is stuck in her suit, the thing she hates. Marge nudges Homer to make her feel better. The next day, Homer mistakes the weather number for lotto numbers, and Marge suggest him to make something with Lisa, so he takes her at the Springfield Mall, where he protects her dignity, and she sees him as Atticus Finch, the main character of the novel she's reading, To Kill a Mockingbird.
At home, they are watching the movie based on the novel, when Bart and Milhouse change channel to The Itchy & Scratchy Show. Lisa says to Homer he's her hero, to wich Bart asks Maggie if he's her hero, but he's not, getting a punch in the face by Grampa too.
Lisa then tells the story of Homer taking her to the Springfield Science Museum, then talks greatly about him at school. Bart is not that happy about their new found relationship, and seeks help from Dr. Jessup.
At Shauna's Bat mitzvah, he changes all cars' keys, creating chaos once people get out of it, and Milhouse spills the bin on him, but Homer, acting as Atticus does, defuses the mob.
Lisa and Bart fight over Homer, so Marge goes to Dr. Jessup to seek help too cause Lisa is idolizing Homer and creating uneaseness in the family. In the end Lisa moves on that phase, but Maggie comforts him.
