- The murder house is modeled after the Bates home in Alfred Hitchcock's movie Psycho.
- The number on Snake's prison uniform is "7F20", this is the production code for the episode "The War of the Simpsons" which was the episode Snake first appeared in.
- The number on Johnny D's prison uniform is "5F06", the production code for this episode.

- The house that Lionel Hutz says is on fire is actually not on fire.
- In the 'dog house', in the doorway there are dogs staring out of the open door. The dogs do not have bodies.
- In one scene at Red Blazer Realty, it shows Marge from the behind. In that shot, she is not wearing her blazer, however in the previous and next shot she is.
- When Marge finishes spinning upon receiving her blazer, Gil and Nick Callahan have their colors switched.
