Maryland is one of the 50 states in the US. Its capital city is Annapolis and its most populous city is Baltimore.

History[edit]

At the end of "Marge on the Lam" we hear the fate of the players; Homer Simpson was remanded to the custody of the United States Army Neurochemical Research Center at Fort Meade, Maryland, for extensive testing.

In 1796 a fiercely determined band of pioneers lead by Jebediah Springfield leaves Maryland after misinterpreting a passage in the Bible. Their destination was New Sodom, but instead they founded Springfield.

After getting run out of Florida, the Simpson family was trying to decide on where to go for their next vacation. They were looking at a map of the US that had most of states crossed out, which were apparently all the states that the Simpsons were no longer allowed to enter.[1]

The book "The Shore Birds of Maryland" is part of Bart Simpson's homework assignment.[2]

Trivia[edit]
