State/Province: Springfield's State
City motto: "Birthplace of the Loogie"
First appearance: "Colonel Homer"

Spittle County is a town - and rural area - in Springfield's State. It is located one or two hours' driving time from Springfield.

Description

A sign at the county line proclaims Spittle County to be the "Birthplace of the Loogie". Spittle County is also noted for being the birthplace of Lurleen Lumpkin.

Another point of interest in Spittle County is The Beer -N- Brawl, a bar which is known for its rowdy clientele and live country music. The bar is also where Homer Simpson discovered Lurleen; shortly after that, he helped her launch her music career.

History

Homer once came to Spittle County on a drive. He drove past many horrible places, including Fertilizer, a fertilizer factory, the County Dump and a Sulfur Mine before driving though 40 miles of open sewers.[1]

Lurleen Lumpkin lives in Royal King Trailer Park in Spittle County.
