Super Bowl XXVI, the game between the Washington Redskins and the Buffalo Bills was held at Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome in Minneapolis.[2]

After getting run out of Florida, the Simpson family was trying to decide on where to go for their next vacation. They were looking at a map of the US that had most of states crossed out, which were apparently all the states that the Simpsons were no longer allowed to enter.[3]

Bart asks Homer "If a plane crashes on the border of North and South Dakota, where do you bury the survivors?" Homer guesses Minnesota, but Bart says he is wrong because you can't bury survivors.[4]

Homer pushed Bart's face into his gut and said, "In Minnesota I'd be a supermodel."[5]
