Food/Drink Information
Produced by: KrustyCo Inc.
Type: Cherry soda
First appearance: Bart Simpson and the Krusty Brand Fun Factory

Krusty Brand Cherry Soda is a drink produced by KrustyCo Inc. Its slogan is "Hey! Hey! It's like a cherry pie in a bottle!". The Krusty Brand Fun Factory has a river made of the soda.

History[edit]

Krusty held a competition where four bottles of the soda had golden straws hidden inside them. Whoever found one of the straws would win a guided tour in the Krusty Brand Fun Factory with a legal guardian or parole officer. While drinking one of the sodas, Homer swallowed a golden straw which caused his appendix to burst. Bart claimed the straw after it was removed from Homer's digestive tract. The other straw winners were Ralph, Nelson and Barney.

Behind the Laughter[edit]

The golden straw competition is a reference to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, where golden tickets could be found in a select few chocolate bars. The cherry soda river is also a reference to the book's chocolate river.
