Spittle County is a town - and rural area - in Springfield's state. It is located one or two hours' driving time from Springfield.

Description[edit]

A sign at the county line proclaims Spittle County to be the "Birthplace of the Loogie". Spittle County is also noted for being the birthplace of Lurleen Lumpkin.

Another point of interest in Spittle County is The Beer -N- Brawl, a bar which is known for its rowdy clientele and live country music. The bar is also where Homer Simpson discovered Lurleen; shortly after that, he helped her launch her music career.

The county is a bit of a dump with open sewers and many places that give off a horrible stench. The area is also frequently struck by tornadoes.[1]

History[edit]

Homer took a drive to Spittle County when he was angry with Marge and needed to get away for a while. He drove past many horrible-smelling places, including a fertilizer factory, the County Dump and a Sulfur Mine, before driving past 40 miles of open sewers.[1]

Lurleen Lumpkin lives in Royal King Trailer Park in Spittle County.

Media[edit]

One radio station is KUDD Radio which broadcasts from Weevilville.

Education[edit]

There is a Spittle County Elementary School.[2]
