KUDD Radio is a commercial radio station located in the town of Weevilville in Spittle County.

Description

The station's motto is "Don't touch that dial - you've got KUDD on it!" In addition to Spittle County, KUDD's broadcast area includes Springfield.

History

Homer and Lurleen brought her CD recording of "Your Wife Don't Understand You" to KUDD to be played on request of the DJ's brother, Wade. The song was an instant hit and had a profound effect on a number of Springfieldians who heard it: Moe was moved to offer beer on the house for the next half hour; Krusty and Sideshow Mel peacefully resolved a fight they were having; and the soothing effect of the song even stopped a riot at Springfield Penitentiary.

Behind the Laughter

• The station's call letters are a pun on a cow's cud and a reference to Spittle County's rural location.
• There is actually a real-life station with the KUDD call letters in Salt Lake City, Utah on 105.1 FM, with a Top 40 format, named "Mix 105.1"
