Steve Tompkins is an American television writer for The Simpsons. He was with the show during the seventh and eighth seasons. Josh Weinstein and Bill Oakley said that, with the exception of George Meyer, he contributed more to seasons seven and eight than anyone else on staff. For example, he was the writer of the infamous gay steel mill scene. He has written the episodes: "Treehouse of Horror VI", "22 Short Films About Springfield", "The Simpsons Spin-Off Showcase" and "A Milhouse Divided". He has worked on television shows such as The Critic and Entourage.
