Belgium is a country in Europe.

History

Chief Wiggum asks Lou and Eddie: "Now, boys, what would you say to some Belgian waffles?" .[1]

When Lisa Simpsons visits a new comic book store Coolsville she discovers a shelf with Astérix and Tintin comics. "Tintin" is a world famous Belgian comic strip. As she reads the comic book Tintin mentions that they have to save the Belgian ambassador.[2]

When The Simpsons travel to Ireland Lisa Simpson mentions Ireland is on the forefront of Europe's "tech-boom". Bart Simpson mockingly adds: "In your face, Belgium!", whereupon Marge threatens Bart with the words: "Bart! If you hate Belgium so much, maybe I should take your Tintins away!" This scares Bart, who clutches a copy of the album "The Crab with the Golden Claws", promising he'll be good.[3]

Martin Prince represented Belgium in the Model U.N. Club at Springfield Elementary School.[4]

It is one of the many countries that competed in the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, British Columbia.[5]

Fat Tony and his fellow mobsters once planned to collect a shipment of guns from Belgium, but the plan went sour when the police showed and Fat Tony had a fatal heart atttack.[6]

During World War II, Grandpa and The Flying Hellfish were dropped into the Ardennes, so they would've been in either France, Belgium, or Luxembourg.
