The sisters recount how their feud started at Marge's baby shower, where they argued over her favorite cake: chocolate or carrot. Marge reveals she actually prefers vanilla. At home, Homer is cleaning up some board games. They tell the story of how it all started, at Marge's baby shower, where they fought over Marge's favourite cake, chocolate or carrot, and Marge ends up revealing it's really vanilla. The fight continues on the couch but Sadie separates them, before pointing out that Marge is the problem as she keeps them separated so she can be the martyr while they continue fighting. At that point Marge pushes the crew all out of the door to not face this fact. Outside, as the crew prepares to leave, Krusty admits to Wayne how he would like to join them as the line between the "talent" and the crew is meaningless, and Wayne invites him to a crowfish boil with the others.

Chaos ensues as the couples argue again.

As they keep at it, they regret to fighting and Sadie tries to stop them but Marge points out that you can't fix a problem with a catchphrase in 30 minutes for what can require years, and the other couples start fighting too. For Patty and Selma's birthday, the Simpson family goes to Fun Once Escape Rooms for a puzzle party. The squeaky-voiced teen explains the hint system, but Selma confidently states they won't need it. As the teen closes the door, Bart slips out, and the one-hour countdown begins. Almost immediately, Homer uses two hints: one to open a painted door and another to insult the sisters. This angers them as it ruins their streak, leading to an argument that Marge has to break up.

Meanwhile, Krusty's aunt, Sadie, visits him to join Sideshow Mel's podcast. Krusty, unaware the podcast exists, accompanies her to Earmoose Studios, where Mel is recording Talking Krusty: the Official Rewatch Podcast with Wayne the Grip and Jodie from props. Sadie suggests Krusty join the podcast with his coworkers.

Sadie helps Krusty realize he has never bonded with his coworkers and warns him he'll die alone if he doesn't change. At The Ugh! Network, Lindsey Naegle listens to the podcast and gets the idea for a show called The Problem Is You, starting with the Hibbert family.

At home, Homer cleans up some board games. Lisa tries to convince him to reconcile with Patty and Selma, but he refuses. Marge secretly texts the sisters, pretending she injured herself to get them to visit, though she admits she did hurt herself a little. She suggests Sadie could help them resolve their problems.
