Capital city: Montevideo
First mentioned: "Bart vs. Australia"

Uruguay is a country in South America.

History[edit]

Homer once mispronounced it's name and mistook it for "U R Gay" when seeing it on a globe.[1]

There was a food stand at the pier called "Have it Uruguay".[2]

It was also one of the teams competing in 2010 Winter Olympics.[3]

Behind the Laughter[edit]

The slogan on the food stand, "Have it Uruguay," is a parody of Burger King's slogan "Have it your way."
