The Simpsons: Tapped Out Spring Cleaning content update, was released on April 13, 2016 and was the one hundred and twentyfourth content update. It included 1 new character and 2 new buildings. The Springfield Greenhouse was found in the files of the World's Largest Redwood update.

The Spring Cleaning deals launches on April 13, 2016 at 3.20pm BST.
Gil, upon entering your town, appeared with the bubble over his head, which upon tapping, triggered his text, and at the end, opened the Gil Deal screen. Upon tapping Get Em Now it opened the Spring Cleaning menu.
- Note: You require the original amount of Donuts to purchase the item, but you'll recieve back the rebate donuts.

Other changes made
April 13 Update ("4_19_SpringCleaning2016")
- Throw E.L. James Books on the Fire job is no longer visible after the Crook and Ladder event ends.
- Hot in Here Pt. 5 now requires the Police Station to be built.
- Crook and Ladder's Medals can be collected from 15 friends actions instead of 14.
- IRS was added to the Buildings and Miscellany inventory section.
- Fire Chief Moe, Fireman Skinner, Fireman Homer and Fireman Apu were added to the Characters inventory section.
- Debris were added to the Decorations and Miscellany inventory section.
- Simpson Laser Tag was added to the Leisure inventory section.
- Waverly Hills Elementary was added to the Springfield Heights inventory section.
- The unreleased Springfield Greenhouse was added to the game.
- If the Yellow Submersible comes up empty, a notification now appears.
