Israel is a country in the Middle East. Its capital city is Jerusalem.
Jerusalem is considered an important city in Islamic, Christian and Jewish traditions because it contains holy sites from all three faiths, such as the Dome of the Rock, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, and the Western Wall (also referred to as the "Wailing Wall").
History
The Simpsons and the Flanders family visited Israel along with several members of the First Church of Springfield.
