Synopsis[edit]

"Frustrated with the local government, Marge decides to run for Mayor. To win public support, she begins making Homer the butt of her jokes."

Plot[edit]

Kent Brockman is encased in a glass field while Springfielders throw stuff at him, reporting the celebration of the Springfield Skypark-Line, a project built on top of the Springfield Monorail.

The Simpson family tries it out, with Homer and Chief Wiggum trying to pass each other on a thin passage too, Homer ending up with Wiggum's gun, and Wiggum ending up with Homer's sandwich.

The opening ceremony however goes haywire, as the Monorail gets unstuck from its hiding place, and crushes and kills Sebastian Cobb and destroys the whole tracks, station, and a statue in memory of Leonard Nimoy.

At the Town Hall, a Monorail disaster inquiry is held by Mayor Quimby, he insults Marge and she gets angry. At home, Lisa tells Marge to run for mayor.

Her political campaign goes well, and her numbers raises, and at the debate at Springfield Elementary School, only Quimby and Marge remains the only contestants. Marge is having trouble and promises to put out the Springfield Tire Yard and wins the election.

At the ceremony to put out the fire, the tire fire souvenirs shop owner protests against it, and fails at her promise, with Kent adding salt to the wounds on the news. She tries to buy the stand, but ends up insulting the owner, a Vietnam veteran, with her words.

The people's opinion on her is dropping, and Lindsey Naegle proposes a live heart to heart with the voters, but Marge does a one-on-one live from the Simpson House. When she starts making Homer the butt of her jokes, the opinion raises, with highest approval ratings.

Homer however gets angry at a charity event with Krusty, misunderstanding him insulting Homer calling him a whale. At the Springfield Library, she keeps insulting him, and a Thanksgiving parade balloon was made, pooping confettis.

After seeing this, Marge goes to Quimby at the Quimby Compound, and asks for help, but he says to her that her marriage got better since he become a citizen. At the street manhole christening she refuses to insult him and returns to being a citizen. Eight years later, Marge visits the Marge Simpson Memorial Library, where a impeachment and disgrace section is also present.

Production[edit]

"Frink Gets Testy" was intended to air as the 6th episode of season 29,[1] however this episode aired instead.[2]
