- A man resembling Jacob Chansley appears at Man Camp.
- As a kid, Comic Book Guy saved up all his money to go see a George Lucas film, Howard the Duck. The film is considered among the worst films ever made, but has also developed a cult following.
- When Greg says that Kirk and Rainier Wolfcastle's eye contact could cut butter, the sound of a lightsaber from Star Wars can be heard as their eye contact cuts through a stick of butter.
