Continuity

  • Many characters from previous episodes are seen on the human pyramid. Notably:

Goofs

  • Hans Moleman was seen running away from the ball of people, but when the scene is played in slow-motion, Moleman can be seen already in the ball of people.
  • When the camera pans down the pyramid to Krusty and Drederick Tatum, Professor Lombardo has Bleeding Gums Murphy's colors.
  • When Homer starts climbing the pyramid, Superintendent Chalmers has Mr. Largo's colors.
  • In the courtroom scene, Mrs. Glick has Helen Lovejoy's colors.
  • Several people on the pyramid are the wrong color.
  • As the pyramid falls, Leon Kompowsky has a green shirt, however when the Duff records man calls everyone's attention, Leon has a white shirt.
  • Several people on the pyramid change positions.

Notes

  • This episode was "Dedicated to the memory of Ron Taylor". Ron was the voice and soul of Bleeding Gums Murphy, Lisa's saxophone muse and jazz hero.
  • When watched in slow motion, the caricature of writer Bill Oakley is seen in the ball of people.
  • This is the first time in 9 years the "Simpsonized" version of Axel F is heard, when Homer and Apu sneak into the secret meeting. The last time it was heard was in Season 4's "Marge vs. the Monorail".
