Three Gays of the Condo/References

Terry W. Greene and Ben Schatz were credited for playing guest voices in this episode but had unknown roles and have been rumored to play Julio. The Complete Guide said that Ben Schatz played himself.
Karl from "Simpson and Delilah" was supposed to reprise his role (appearing as one of Homer's gay roommates), but Harvey Feinstein turned the part down.
Grady is voiced by openly gay comedian Scott Thompson, while Julio is voiced by Hank Azaria, who uses a gay lisp similar to the one his character used in the movie The Birdcage.
"Weird Al" Yankovic appeared as himself again in the Season 19 episode "That '90s Show."

Cultural references

The episode's title is a pun on the 1975 movie Three Days of the Condor.
While searching for the missing puzzle piece, Homer says "Puzzle piece, come out and play-ay!", a parody of a line from The Warriors.
"Weird Al" Yankovic's song Homer and Marge is a parody of John Mellencamp's song Jack & Diane.
Jay and Silent Bob: Homer calls Maggie "Silent Bob".
I Love Lucy: On Homer's first morning in Grady's and Julio's apartment, Grady prepares breakfast for the three of them and Julio sharply criticizes it: "Where'd you buy this? From the guy on the exit ramp? Disgusting." Homer quickly comes to Grady's defense, shutting Julio down by saying, "Calm down, Picky Ricardo", a wordplay on Ricky Ricardo.
The restaurant Homer and Marge eat at is a parody of Medieval Times.
The Club Homer mentions where the ad had a guy who used to be fat and is now ugly is referencing Subway and Jared Fogle.
The Parody Songs Homer sent to Weird Al are "Another One Bites the Crust" a parody of the song "Another One Bites the Dust" and "Living La Pizza Loca" a reference to the song "Living La Vida Loca".

The Mr. Plow and Pin Pals jackets.

Homer's Pin Pals T-shirt from "Team Homer" and Mr. Plow jacket from "Mr. Plow" are seen in the closet. His Pin Pals shirt was last seen in the ownership of John, so Homer must have gotten it back.
When Grady flicks through TV channels, he passes "It Never Ends". "Pygmoelian"
Lenny mentions Homer playing Poochie. "The Itchy & Scratchy & Poochie Show"
