The White Elephant in the Room is an event-exclusive questline in The Simpsons: Tapped Out. It was introduced in the Winter 2015 content update.

Pt. 1[edit]

After tapping on Lisa's exclamation mark Aww, all we got in that present was some useless festive crap? My research indicates that 98% of all holiday gift giving is: your words--"useless festive crap." Hoyvin-glayvin!--My words. And you re-gift that crap and give it to the people you like the least. Just ask Lisa. Might I propose converting "unnecessary" atoms into "valuable" atoms using a monstrous machine made "shopping mall pretty?" Task: "Build Things Unnecessary". It takes 6 seconds. Pt. 2[edit]

After completing Pt. 1 Ooh, look at all the wonderful knickknacks! "Things Unnecessary" is my kind of store! To be completely upfront without exposing all truths, the "store" is a user-friendly product interface for an advanced atomic rearrangement system. So I can't buy knickknacks? Not exactly... but you CAN rearrange the atomic structure of desired knickknacks, converting them into less useless items. As long as you've got free giftwrapping, I'm in! Task: "Collect Christmas Baubles by Tapping Merrymakers" (x40). Task: "Collect Christmas Bows by Playing Naughty Or Nice" (x20). Quest reward: 100/100 and 10

Act 1[edit]

The following quest stage only appeared in Act 1 of the event After completing Pt. 2 Bart, it's cold. Where are you going without your hat? God didn't give me nine hair spikes to keep 'em covered up. Besides, hats are for lamewads. You got a problem with hats? I danced in my first oil gusher in a hat! My hat says I'm American and that I belong... since my proper documentation is still tied up in the courts. Did someone say hats? And if so, I want to join in! See what happens when you start talking about hats! Task: "Craft & Place The Wooly Bully". Quest reward: 100 and 10

Act 2[edit]

The following quest stage only appeared in Act 2 of the event After completing Pt. 2 Homer, let's try to get a big and beautiful Christmas tree this year for the kids. Whatever... I mean it, Homie. Last year the kids were very disappointed in you. You broke your promise. It's not my fault if the cute tree I brought back burst into flames. It wasn't cute... ...Nor is a tumbleweed a Christmas tree... Looked pretty christmas-y after I flocked it with fire extinguisher foam. Task: "Craft & Place X-mas Trees Slightly Irregular". Quest reward: 100 and 10

Pt. 4[edit]

After completing Pt. 3 Hey, I put my festive junk in the thingy, and it hasn't rearranged atom one! There appears to be a chokepoint in the raw material supply line. The incoming value-to-product ratio is far too low. Homer it down, egghead! Waaay down. Hoyvin-glayvin-falaggle-nock! Simply put... we need more "festive stuff." I know this is the season of giving, but you can't have giving without taking... especially from Flanders. Task: "Tap Merrymakers in a Friend's Town" (x3). Quest reward: 100/100 and 10
