Kansas is one of the 50 states in the US. Its capital city is Topeka.

History

Miss Kansas was a contestant in the Miss American Girl Pageant.[1]

After getting run out of Florida, the Simpson family was trying to decide on where to go for their next vacation. They were looking at a map of the US that had most of states crossed out, which were apparently all the states that the Simpsons were no longer allowed to enter.[2]

Before becoming a student at Springfield Elementary School, Ethan All lived in Kansas.[3]

In a story told by Marge, the Lewis and Clark expedition went through Kansas. Here, they were going to visit Moe's before it was destroyed by a tornado.[4]
