Burkina Faso is a country in Africa. Its capital and largest city is Ouagadougou.

History[edit]

To try and prove Lisa wrong about water draining clockwise in the Southern Hemisphere, Bart called a number of different countries to get answer. Three weeks late, Homer got the phone bill. Listed on the bill were a number of different places, including Burkina Faso and its capital, to which Homer remarked, "Who called all these weird places?"

Behind the Laughter[edit]

  • The phone bill lists Burkina Faso's capital city as New Ouagadougou.
  • Of all the countries Bart called, Bukina Faso is the only one not located in the Southern Hemisphere.
  • The cost of Bart's call to the capital was $17.84, while the cost to the country itself was $29.02.
