Snow Falling on Cheaters is a The Simpsons Winter Wingding story first printed in The Simpsons Winter Wingding #1.

Synopsis[edit]

"The police are looking for a thief who steals snowmen."

Plot[edit]

Chief Wiggum, Eddie, and Lou rush to the Simpson house on snowmobiles to investigate the crime of a missing snowman. Lisa had built a snow-person, but it had gone missing when she came out to finish it off. The police question Homer and Bart but then find out that Rod and Todd's snow-Jesus had gone missing in the meantime. Rod and Todd tell the police that the bullies made fun of them and said that they'd be back later to put the "finishing touch" on their snow-postles so the police go to find them at the Kwik-E-Mart. The police question the bullies but then find that Apu's Squishee-Man went missing whilst they were talking to them. They then chase after Snake, who had just left the Kwik-E-Mart and question him but he also turns out to be innocent as Lou got a call that another snowman had been stolen from the Duff Brewery. The police talk to Duffman who suggests that Fat Tony may have done the crime. They question Fat Tony, who tells the police that he was at the pier all morning dumping a carpet. The police then confirm this with Captain McCallister. Having no leads still, the police decides that they have to go undercover at the snowman competition.

At the snowman competition, Lou and Eddie hand over a last-minute entry, their Snow Chief. Moe then reveals himself to be the thief as he goes to deal with the Snow Chief, which turns out to be Chief Wiggum in disguise. Thinking that Chief Wiggum was some kind of snow monster, Moe runs off to Moe's Tavern to hide, with Wiggum chasing him. In the Tavern, Chief Wiggum finds all the stolen snowmen. As Moe gets arrested, he apologizes and says that he only stole the snowmen so that Maggie would win the snowman competition. Chief Wiggum then gets in his disguise again and is entered as Maggie's entry. Maggie wins the competition, which makes Moe happy as he's locked in a cage on the back of a snowmobile. Sideshow Bob and Cecil Terwilliger then dig out of the ground, having escaped from prison, and see the unattended snowmobiles. Moe thinks that this isn't good.
