The Empty Net is a fishing boat seen along the pier at Barnacle Bay.
History
After noticing Marge's reaction to a childhood video showing her and her family vacationing at Barnacle Bay, Homer and the kids decide to take her there as a surprise. When they get to the island, however, instead of a thriving tourist attraction they find a dilapidated town whose economy was ruined when their main natural resource, the Yum Yum Fish, suddenly disappeared. Having no other major resources to make income off of the island quickly sank into disrepair. As the Simpsons walked down a pier, they saw a number of fishing boats that are were in very rough shape and covered with algae and kelp.
The Empty Net was a small, mostly wooden fishing boat. It sat between The Wasted Bait and The Rotting Pelican.
