Dialogue
Pt. 1
| Between December 16, 2022 and January 11, 2023
All right, Milhouse. We've got the day off, so let's make sure we spend it well.
What did you have in mind?
Android's Dungeon, obviously.
Awesome!
Bart! If you're going out, take Lisa with you.
But Mom, Lisa's such a downer on snow days.
I know, but her pacing is going to make a rut in the carpet in her bedroom.
Fine. Milhouse, you're in charge of her.
Me? In charge of Lisa? *faints*
This day just keeps getting worse.
Task: "Collect Earmuffs" (x155). If Bart is owned: Task: "Make Bart Go to Android's Dungeon". The job takes place at the Android's Dungeon or a Kwik-E-Mart and takes 4 hours. Task: "Make Lisa Get Dragged to Android's Dungeon". The job takes place at the Android's Dungeon or a Kwik-E-Mart and takes 4 hours. If Milhouse is owned: Task: "Make Milhouse Regain Consciousness". The job takes place at the Simpson House and takes 4 hours.
Whoa, what happened? Where are all the comics?
They have been returned to hermetically-sealed storage, where they cannot be damaged by wet, slushy hands.
And what's with all the mugs? And ugly mittens?
Welcome to The Android's Mittens & Mugs, where you can find a novelty mug or pair of mittens to match your greatest fantasies and desires.
Why would you do such a thing?
Someone has purchased this building and changed the terms of my lease, stipulating that I must sell tacky mugs and mittens. As well as my soul.
That's rough, dude.
So, unless you wish to purchase something overpriced or useless, I must ask you to vacate the premises.

Hey, Bart, have you noticed that a lot of the stores around the city seem different today?
What do you mean?
Well, Android's Dungeon changing to a Mittens and Mugs shop was weird, but it's not the only one. The Krusty Burger seems to be more Christmassy than normal.
Come on, Lisa. That's just a seasonal thing. Like how it's "Krusty Murder" around Halloween.
Sure, the outside décor changes every year, but when was the last time it smelled like they were actually cooking meat in there?
Wait, what? *sniffs* That's weird. It smells...what's the word? ...delicious!
Task: "Collect Earmuffs" (x155). Task: "Make Lisa Investigate Businesses". The job takes place at Shops and takes 4 hours. If Bart is owned: Task: "Make Bart Go to Krusty Burger". The job takes place at a Krusty Burger and takes 4 hours.
I don't know what's going on, but I hope it's permanent. This is the best Krusty Burger I've ever had.
While you were stuffing your face with dead animal meat, I found another ten businesses that have been bought out in the past few days.
So?
So, none of them know exactly who bought them but all of them are making changes to their business model.
So?
So, a mysterious figure who has enough money to buy up a bunch of businesses and make big changes just as a huge storm is about to hit town?
Well, when you put it like that...
...So?

Although the Mayor has requisitioned additional funds, the city's snowplows won't be able to keep up with the deepening snow.
Thanks to Fat Tony for helping us – er, um – "requisition" with such a reasonable vig.
Nice city you have here. Shame if something happened to it.
I implore my fellow Springfielders: Who will step up and help dig out our streets as quickly and cheaply as humanly possible?
Quick and cheap? That's our cue!
Oh, Mr. Plow! After you're finished, keep your jacket on. I have another assignment for you upstairs. *winks*
I've still got my jacket, too.
No!

Aww, Homer. We can't keep up with all this snow.
Don't worry, Barney. I have a foolproof plan that'll fix everything.
Is it beer?
No, but that'll be Plan B.
Dad! I need your help!
Sorry, Lisa. Daddy's got to find his chainsaw. Have you tried asking your mother?
She locked herself in your room.
Come on, Barney. Let's get this done. I've got an appointment I can't miss.
You sure I can't help?
No!

Okay, Bart. You're going to help me expose the person who's been buying up all the businesses in town.
Wait, you're coming to me for help?
I know it feels like admitting defeat, but yes.
Luckily for you, I've already figured out who it is.
Really?
You said it yourself: "A mysterious figure who has enough money to buy up a bunch of businesses and make big changes just as a huge storm is about to hit town."
You think it's Mr. Burns, don't you?
Of course. He's always behind stuff like this.
I really feel like I should have figured this out sooner.
Don't blame yourself. Quest writers need to pad these things out.
Task: "Collect Earmuffs" (x155). Task: "Make Lisa Confront Mr. Burns". The job takes place at Burns Manor, the Control Building, or a Visitable Home and takes 4 hours. |
Sir, Homer Simpson's children are here to see you.
Why are you bothering me with this? Have you misplaced the hound-releasing button?
No, sir. But you'll remember that the last time we released the hounds on children, you had to do a month of community service at their orphanage. And then buy it.
What is the world coming to when you can't unleash attack beasts on any toddler you come across?
Very well, send them in. But only because it's Christmastime.

Mr. Burns, why are you buying up all the businesses in town?
Whatever do you mean? Smithers, have I been buying up businesses in my sleep again?
No, sir. Though I suspect she may be referring to your other problem du jour.
Stop speaking French! But I assume you mean the rascal who's trying to buy the power plant.
You're being bought out, too?
Heavens, no. I'll never sell.
So, who is this guy?
A devious old codger hell-bent on causing mischief and mayhem.
He sounds awful.
Yes, he's my type of businessman. Would you like to meet him?
He's here?
Yes. He wandered into one of the hall closets, thinking it was a bathroom.

Greetings and salutations!
It's that goofy guy from the Christmas movie Dad loves!
It's good to meet you! *extends hand to the coatrack* My name is Ebenezer McGrew.
This has to be a joke.
The only joke around here is how many times I had to pull the handle on that commode of yours.
*examines closet* That was an umbrella stand.
Listen you senile old coot, I want you out of my house!
Now, now, young man, I'm not leaving until I meet C. Montgomery Burns.
I'm C. Montgomery Burns!
You are? *blinks his eyes* So you are. Can I get your autograph?
Very well. If it will get you to leave... *signs*
Sir, no!
Thank you for your time!
Sir, that was a transfer of ownership!
What?
Oh, McGrew, you've done it again!
