Skid Row is a district of Springfield. Skid Row is also referred to with several informal names, such as Bumtown, Junkytown and Junkyville. It is also known literally as being on "the wrong side of the tracks", as railroad tracks separate it from the nicer part of town. Most of the area's inhabitants are derelicts, bums, and junkies. Skid Row is likely located close to Crackton, which is also a seedy part of Springfield.

History

When Marge Simpson was a police officer for a brief period, she was assigned to patrol Bumtown and Junkyville.[1]

There is a raving derelict who lives in Skid Row and knows Ralph Wiggum.[2]

Chester J. Lampwick used to live in Bumtown before he became a billionaire.[3]
