Cyprus is a country in the Mediterranean Sea.

History

When the captain of a Turkish cargo ship refuses to go back to the dock, so that they could let Bart and Lisa off after they had crashed an RV onto the ship, Homer calls the captain and his crew "Cyprus splitting jerks".
