The Lower East Side is a district of Springfield with a Jewish ethnicity. Krusty the Clown grew up in this neighborhood. It contains such businesses as Tannen's Fatty Meats, Kosher Meats & Products, House of Pressed Fish, Yiddle's Practical Jokes, Izzy's Deli and Temple Beth Springfield, the local synagogue. It also possesses the Springfield Jewish Walk of Fame.
The Rabbi Hyman Krustofski, the father of Krusty the Clown, is considered the most respected man in of the Lower East Side.
History
Homer and Marge lived here for a time in the 1980s.
