The crappy RV is a vehicle which was used and wrecked, and then sold to Bob's RV Round-Up, where they sold it for next to nothing.
History
It was the only RV that Homer could afford, so he took it. It was bad and always backfired, it was falling apart and smelled. Yet, Homer still bought it and the Simpsons went on their family vacation in it.
