History

Homer was going to Las Vegas, but along the way he had to take Bart to Upward Bound, located in Oregon. During the road trip through the state, Bart and Homer had some bonding experiences which resulted in Homer realizing how much he loved his son. Homer accidentally drove through the Birthplace of Matt Groening while in Oregon.

After dropping Bart off and getting back on the road to Vegas, Homer realized how much Bart actually meant to him and went back to Upward Bound to pick him up.[1]
