The Outlands was a small settlement in Springfield's state.
History
After being kicked out of Springfield, the Simpson family came across The Outlands where they set up home. The family quickly adapted to their new life, however, Marge still missed Springfield. After Homer and Marge snuck into Springfield then came back to The Outlands after a confrontation with the town, several Springfieldians started coming to The Outlands for a better life until, eventually, the whole town moved and Springfield was rebuilt in The Outlands.
